Water and Sanitation Department

This Department comes under Zilla Parishad; The Head of the Department is a Class 1 officer of the State Government. His designation is Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Water Supply and Sanitation). The entire control of the Gram Panchayat is maintained through the Panchayat Department. Also, various schemes of the central and state governments are propagated and implemented in a very excellent manner through this department. There are a total of 563 gram panchayats in the district in 5 Panchayat Samiti’s. For this, manpower is available in the form of 308 Gram Sevak and 26 Gram Development Officers and 13 Extension Officers (Panchayat) at Panchayat Samiti level and Contractual Engineer and Assistant Project Officers and Data Entry Operators at each Panchayat Samiti level. Village Swachhata Abhiyan Yojana is implemented through this department.
