Primary Education Department

The main objective of the schemes implemented through Zilla Parishad, Department of Education, Hingoli is to raise the standard of education, increase the educational quality of students, increase the attendance of students in school and maintain it.

The Right of Child to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 has given the right to education to every child in the age group of 6 to 14 years. The Department of Primary Education is working with the aim of mainstreaming children who are deprived of education, improving the quality along with quantitative development of education and is striving for universalization of education.

The Education Department is responsible for the administration of teachers in primary, secondary and minority schools in the district. It is the policy of the government to provide basic education facilities to the people in rural areas and the education department is committed for that. In order to enroll all the children in the age group of 6 to 14 years, all the teachers have to work tirelessly and this valuable work is done in collaboration with the Gram Shiksha Samiti at the village level. Also, the education department Hingoli is committed to ISO certification of the school along with increasing the quality of education.

Through this department, various schemes are implemented for the overall development of the students for their welfare. It includes school feeding scheme, scholarship, sports competition, distribution of uniform and writing materials, attendance allowance, etc. Plans are included. Mahatma Phule Education Guarantee Scheme for students who are unable to attend school regularly, slum schools etc. Arrangements are made through this department.
