National Nutrition Month September 2024

Hingoli district ranks first in the state

Every year, the month of September 2024 is celebrated as National Nutrition Month in the country under the Integrated Child Development Service Scheme. In this month, various activities are taken up at the Anganwadi center level in coordination with the Women and Child Welfare Department, Health Department, Education Department, Panchayat Department etc. and their online registration is done on the Jan Andolan Dash Board. Hingoli district has secured first rank in the state by registering 238163 (199 per Anganwadi center) activities online on the Jan Andolan Dash Board under the National Nutrition Month in the year 2024 at a total of 1197 Anganwadi centers in rural and urban areas. Also, with the participation of other departments such as Health Department, Education Department, Panchayat Department, a total of 1871742 (1564 per Anganwadi center) activities online has secured first rank in the state. Accordingly, Hingoli district has secured first rank in the state in both the registrations of the Women and Child Welfare Department and the activities registered with the participation of other departments. This included guidance activities for children aged 0 to 6 years, pregnant women and lactating mothers, adolescent girls, and women in Anganwadi centers.

On 13th October 2024, Hingoli District was felicitated with a memento and a certificate of appreciation by Hon. Minister, Women and Child Development Smt. Aditi Tatkare, Hon. Secretary, Women and Child Development and Hon. Commissioner, ICDS at Sahyadri Guest House Mumbai for the achievements achieved by Hingoli District. On this occasion, Hon. Additional Chief Executive Officer Shri Anup Shengulwar, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (WCD) Shri Ganesh Wagh, Child Development Project Officer Shri Vivek Wakade, Smt.
