Rural Water Supply Department

The Rural Water Supply Program is a demand based policy and has been converted into National Rural Drinking Water Program from the year 2009-2010 by including Central Government sponsored Enhanced Velocity Program, Swajaldhara and State Government sponsored Mahajal as well as Non-Tribal / Tribal internal work.

The following water supply schemes can be undertaken under the Water Supply Scheme.

• Simple wells
• Widening and deepening of existing wells
• Vindhan wells (hand pumps)
• Small tap water supply scheme
• Shivkalite water storage scheme
• Repair of existing scheme
• Strengthening
• scheme of emergence in existing scheme Expansion
• supplementary scheme
• New scheme
